Text Box: CLARITY, CLARITY & MORE CLARITY…

… is what it takes to manage communications
	and to resolve conflicts…

Why bother to communicate if it's not important to you

that the message sent IS the message received?

You might as well save your breath since you'll need it to resolve the inevitable conflict and the relationship at risk;

unless you don't care about those either.

Clear words…which each needs to understand … replacing the assumptions we all make as to meaning and/or intent; PLUS…

Clear and understood roles: how people see/perceive themselves (and others) in any relationship. If you’re not sure, ASK!

Clear and understood boundaries: those 'do not go' places applied by people to protect or defend against emotional, physical, or psychological harm.

If you’re not sure, ASK; never assume !

Clear and understood responsibilities: usually tied to expectations. If you’re not sure, ASK, don’t assume!

Clear and understood expectations… about the other(s), about ourselves, and in conflict, about similar historical events and situations which may or have impacted on you or those with whom you're negotiating. If you’re not sure, ASK, don’t assume!

Clear words… articulated, received, acknowledged, and understood through elicited confirmation. If you’re not sure about a mutual understanding, ASK, don’t assume!

          Sound too easy? Maybe; yet this OBVIOUS SECRET is often ignored (or mis-managed) when issues generate differences and conflict.

            Stress often throws clarity, and sometimes rationality, out the window with painful consequences. To change such realities it takes actually EXPLORING differences so as to highlight any obstacles which are in the way of understanding and collaboration.

J Work is what you get when you don't want it, don't like it when you get it, and do only so that one day you won't have to.
